Farmers Market Birthday Party #2!

Charming Farmer’s Market First Birthday Party.

Do you have citrus trees at your home? 🍊🍋🍊🍋🍊 Or other fruit? 🍑🍏

When I was 21 years old I drove cross-country with a friend to move to California from Massachusetts. We stopped to visit her Grandfather in Palm Springs and when we came downstairs in the morning he asked us if we’d like a grapefruit for breakfast. We both said yes. Without a word he turned around and walked out the back door. I thought it was weirdest thing. .
He returned two minutes later with two grapefruits in his hands. He’d gone to the backyard to pick them! Being from Massachusetts, I’d never known anyone who grew fruit in their yard so it had never occurred to me! .
Two takeaways from this:
1. I now grow citrus fruit in my yard because I can and how cool is that?
.
2. Sometimes because of our life experience and frames of reference we cannot understand why other people do the things they do. .

This year Gman is 7 and I’m hoping we still get another year (or two??) but I know this might be one of the last 😭💔

For the third year in a row we took the Polar Express Train in Fillmore. This year it’s run by a new company- and it’s the official licensed production...if you’ve been lackluster about it in the past I have good news...it was awesome (and worth the hefty increase in fare). No Santa visit after (my only complaint) but the ride itself and the whole experience is way improved and worth the haul out to Fillmore 💯- it’s also in Perris if that is closer for you. And it’s also nationwide! .
